Northern Gannets of the Bass Rock

11th August 2014
I have just returned from a second trip to the amazing Bass Rock off the east coast of Scotland. This rock is the breeding home to some 150,000 gannets - the largest rock colony of these amazing birds in the world. It is an incredible experience to quite literally stand in the midst of the birds, have them fly all around me and listen to the cacophony that they create. My latest photos are now in the 'Nature and Wildlife' gallery on this site.
